Eight displaced in Live Oak apartment fire

LIVE OAK >> 2 residents were rescued, 8 people were displaced, and a firefighter suffered a minor injury in an apartment fire on thirtieth Avenue early Saturday.

Firefighters have not yet determined the cause of the blaze, which started in a ground-floor apartment’s living room at 1360 30th Ave., remarked Central Fire spokesman Mike DeMars.

The Sentinel reported on the fire Sat and Central Fire leaders released more details Tuesday.

The blaze was contained in 23 mins. and left both units uninhabitable. 5 adults and 3 kids were displaced, and the American Red Cross helped them find housing.
